I wanted to pay my house tax per legal rules. But, I was told that the house tax would be enormous if I didn't pay the bribe. This fear was instilled in me by the House Tax Inspectors so that they can get the bribe. I ended up paying 3000/- for the house tax which was according to the defined rules.
