Bribe paid to let a DSLR camera in at the Hyderabad Airport

• Customs, Excise and Service Tax
• Customs Check and Clearance
• Paid INR 2,000

Landed with a 6 month old DSLR in hand. I was asked to pay duty of 35% even though I had a return ticket and asked the customs officer to stamp it on my passport that I was to be checked for the goods on the return.
Since I did not have a export certificate for my camera I was asked to pay the duty.
To escape this I had to pay up. Only later did I realise that my camera should not have incurred the duty.
