My wife was traveling back to India and came back with 2 laptops. One was her laptop which was already being used and a new one with the bill. The customs form says anything electronic more than Rs 25,000 (approx US$ 500) we need to pay customs. We bought that laptop on a sale which costed around $430 and she declared it on the form. For some reason they pulled her up at the customs, threatened her as she was alone and told her if she did not pay a fee (bribe) of Rs2,500, she would not be allowed to step out. She was tired after a 22hour journey and just did not want to deal with the guys who literally harassed her. So she paid that and got out of the airport. It's an absolute shame...
