All docs pertaining to shipment were in order - also duty free clearance against adv lic.. and customs officer still wanted a bribe of Rs 12000... was negotiated and they settled for Rs 4000.. cant digest why we need to pay bribes to get shipments that are in order cleared.. but if we dont pay it.. then we end up spending a couple of thousands on CFS/demurrage charges... and business depends on raw material.. catch 22.. so although i hate paying bribes we are stuck with no option..
