Paid bribe to customs officer

While coming form abroad, i had nothing but a gift as a watch(Seiko) for my wife, which was worth Rs 2000, the customs officer asked me to step aside and started checking my baggage, when he found the watch, he said this watch is worth Rs 2,00,000 and was demanding a customs duty of Rs 20,000+, i resisted and then another customs officer stepped inside and told me if i paid Rs 2000, they would let go, i was tired and stressed, i gave in to their demand. Had i not given in, they were telling me that they would detain me for some time and also hold back my luggage and passport till case was not resolved, everyone in India knows how long it takes before a case is resolved, i was due to fly back in 10 days.
