Paid a bribe to the police constable

I was returning from a foreign trip and was not carrying anything above the prescribed limit of things as per govt of India rules. I cleared the customs and then while exiting to domestic airport a police constable asked me for INR1000. I told him i was not carrying anything above the limit and have cleared the customs, he started shouting and threatening me that he will open my suitcase to check again. Since i had a connecting flight and could not afford to lose time in additional checking i paid the constable 500 bucks after negotiation. This is when i was not carrying anything above the limit and i cleared the customs!!
